Our Mission
At Save The Magic, we nurture wonder, creativity, and connection through nature, art, and play. Our community-centered collective brings together creative educators to foster a safe, inclusive, and equitable space where every child feels seen, valued, and free to explore.
Rooted in kindness and imagination, we celebrate curiosity, embrace diversity, and honor each child’s spirit. Through intentional programming and a culture of respect, we cultivate a community where differences are celebrated, and every child truly belongs.
Educational Philopsophy
Education is not solely about imparting knowledge; it’s about nurturing the holistic development of a child’s mind, heart, and spirit. A meaningful education prepares children for life by cultivating intellectual curiosity, emotional fluency, and a profound sense of belonging to their community and the natural world. It empowers them to think critically, feel deeply, and live compassionately.
As educators, our role is dynamic. We are guides, walking alongside our students as they explore the world with fresh eyes. We are storytellers, igniting imagination and wonder. We are gardeners, tending to each child’s growth with patience and care. We are bridge-builders, helping children connect with others and themselves.
Education is the fertile soil from which every possibility can grow. I teach because I believe that within each child lies a spark of potential, and through thoughtful, heart-led education, we can help that spark grow into a light that brightens the world.
Code of Conduct
Our homeschool collective is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all families. To support this mission, we uphold the following guidelines:
Safe and Respectful Behavior
We prioritize a safe and respectful environment. Students and families are expected to refrain from gestures, language, or actions that mimic or reference weapons, including hand gestures resembling guns. While imaginative play is encouraged, certain gestures can be unsettling or inappropriate in a shared learning space.
Secular Environment
We maintain a secular space to ensure inclusivity for families of diverse beliefs. Religious instruction, practices, or overt religious content are not part of our activities. Academic discussions may explore religious topics from cultural, historical, or sociological perspectives, approached objectively and inclusively.
Political Neutrality
To focus on educational enrichment and community building, classes, events, and discussions remain free from overt political content or advocacy. Political topics arising in academic contexts, such as history or civics, are addressed objectively without promoting specific viewpoints.
By adhering to these principles, we aim to create a cooperative atmosphere where all families feel comfortable, supported, and valued.
